People who dislike the sound of their own voice or feel it's too nasal, flat, or weak

A lot of people come to me saying the same thing: “I hate the sound of my voice.” Maybe you feel it’s too nasal, too flat, too weak, or just not what you wish it soun

ded like. And you’re definitely not alone. Most of us only hear our real voice when we record ourselves, and it can be a shock.

But here’s the important part. Disliking your voice doesn’t mean you’re stuck with it. What you’re hearing is usually a mix of habits, tension, and lack of awareness. Once you understand how your voice actually works, things start to change quickly.

A nasal voice often comes from where the sound is placed in the face. A flat voice can come from not using enough breath support. A weak voice usually means the sound isn’t resonating properly. These aren’t flaws in you. They’re simply patterns that can shift with the right guidance.

When you learn how to breathe fully, when you open your vowels, when you relax the throat and let the sound resonate, your voice starts to come alive. It becomes warmer, clearer, and more comfortable to listen to. Most importantly, it begins to sound like a version of you that feels natural and confident.

People don’t need a “perfect” voice. They need a voice that feels authentic and easy to use in real life. And that’s something you can absolutely develop.

If you’re tired of cringing when you hear your own voice and you want to sound stronger, clearer, and more like the person you know you really are, you can work with me through Superior Speaking Skills.
